Lil’ Angels Photography Austin is a locally operated photography team serving preschools, daycares, children, and families throughout the Austin area.
We believe photography is personal. Whether we are capturing a child’s school portrait or a family milestone, our goal is the same: to create beautiful images while making the experience warm, comfortable, and genuinely enjoyable.

Hi, I’m Sonoe
I’m the photographer behind Lil’ Angels Photography Austin—and behind Nappy Time Portraits, my private portrait photography business.
My photography goes far beyond school Picture Day. I photograph newborns, babies, birthdays, maternity sessions, children, and families, which means I spend a lot of time working with little personalities in all kinds of situations.
Over the years, I’ve learned that getting a beautiful portrait of a child usually isn’t about asking for the perfect smile. It’s about making them comfortable, talking with them, playing a little, giving them a moment when they need one—and sometimes simply waiting for that expression that says, “This is me.”
That same approach comes with me into every school Picture Day.

School Photography Should Still Feel Personal
School photography moves quickly, but I don’t believe it has to feel like an assembly line.
My experience as a private portrait photographer shapes the way I photograph children at school—from professional lighting and thoughtfully designed sets to the way I interact with each child.
Some children walk in ready to smile. Others are shy. Some are silly. Some are serious.
I don’t want every child to look the same. I want every portrait to feel like the child in front of my camera.
That is what makes Lil’ Angels different from traditional school photography.

Behind Picture Day
Lil’ Angels Photography Austin is more than the person behind the camera.
While I focus on photographing each child, our Picture Day team works behind the scenes to keep everything organized and moving smoothly—from coordinating with school staff and organizing children to keeping track of siblings, special requests, and Picture Day details.
This allows me to give each child my attention while keeping Picture Day efficient and organized for the school.
And because we are a local team, the people working with your school are connected to the same team supporting you throughout the process.

From Their First Portraits to Family Memories
One of my favorite things about photographing children is getting to see them grow.
Sometimes I first meet a child on Picture Day. Another time, I may first meet them as a newborn through Nappy Time Portraits. Later, I might photograph a birthday, a new sibling, or the whole family together.
School is only one part of a child’s story.
Through Lil’ Angels Photography Austin and Nappy Time Portraits, I’m able to photograph both worlds—the little person they are becoming away from home and the family that surrounds them with love.
