Children are not all the same—and neither should their portraits be. As a photographer who also works with newborns, babies, children, and families, I spend a lot of time learning how young children communicate.
Some children love the camera right away. Some need a little time. Some want to talk, some want to play, and sometimes the best expression appears when we stop asking for a smile altogether.

More Than a School Picture
Picture Day moves quickly, but that does not mean every child should receive the exact same photograph. I use professional lighting, thoughtfully designed sets, gentle direction, and little interactions to create different expressions and poses whenever time allows.
Sometimes it is the big smile. Sometimes it is the quiet little expression parents recognize immediately.
Those are often the photographs that become favorites.

Picture Day may be where we first meet—but it does not have to be the last time I photograph your child.
Outside of Lil' Angels Photography, I photograph families through Nappy Time Portraits, including newborn, maternity, birthday, milestone, and family sessions.
There is something special about photographing a child again outside of school. They already recognize me. I may already know what makes them laugh—or that they prefer a little time before warming up.
And this time, I get to photograph the people at the center of their world: their family.

Your child is photographed during their regular school day. We work with their teachers and school schedule so the experience feels familiar and comfortable.
View Your Portraits
After Picture Day, families receive access to an online gallery with their child's portraits and ordering information.
Choose What You Love
Order the portraits and products you would like to keep. Orders placed by the school's due date qualify for the school's delivery or free-shipping option when offered for that Picture Day.
Missed the original ordering period? Your personal online code may still allow a late order to be shipped directly to your home; additional shipping fees may apply.
